Spoiler alert, the approach is rooted in what’s best for the patient, and often very simple to implement.\n\n\n\nAbout Dr. Lai Chim Chan\nDr. Lai Chim Chan is the Course Director and Attending Physician of Cardiology and Pulmonology of the College of Naturopathic Medicine at NUNM ( https://aanmc.org/naturopathic-schools/nunm/ ) and NUNM’s Health Centers.\nDr. Chan graduated from NUNM (formerly known as NCNM) in 2014 and completed two years of family medicine residency at NUNM followed by a 3rd year of residency as the Heart and Lung resident shared by NUNM and Center for Natural Medicine.\nAs the Cardiology and Pulmonology Course Director, she is responsible for development and implementation of the Cardiology and Pulmonology curriculum in the ND program. She is also the primary instructor for the course and teaches students how to diagnose and manage cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions both in the classroom and clinic.
