Dr. Kim Furtado
An expert in herbal medicine, nutrition, detoxification and hormone balancing, a mother of five daughters and three grandchildren, a school garden program coordinator, and an advocate for the environment, Dr. Kim brings her diverse experience to each patient and student.
Kim Furtado, ND, received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Cum Laude in Biology from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Furtado’s special interests include herbal medicine, nutrition, environmental medicine, chronic illness, and women’s and children’s health. She has been in private in-person and tele-health practice in Lewes, DE since 2001. Furtado is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). She is also a founding director for SNAC Garden Foundation. She is an executive board member for the National Association of Environmental Medicine. She is also author of the e-book: An Introduction to Clinical Detoxification in Integrative Medicine.
