Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges Welcomes Universidad Ana G. Méndez
[Washington, DC] — The Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges (AANMC) is pleased to announce that Universidad Ana G. Méndez (UAGM) has joined the organization as its newest member institution.
AANMC serves as the collective voice of accredited naturopathic medical education in North America, advancing academic excellence, supporting student success, and strengthening the pipeline of licensed naturopathic physicians.

Méndez to AANMC,” said Dr. JoAnn Yánez, Executive Director of AANMC. “Their commitment to expanding access to health sciences education and serving diverse communities aligns with our mission to support high-quality naturopathic medical training and the future healthcare workforce.”
UAGM’s addition reflects continued collaboration across institutions to meet evolving healthcare needs and broaden access to education. As a member of AANMC, UAGM will participate in joint efforts related to academic coordination, student pathways, and federal policy engagement impacting health professions education.

As the only doctoral program in Latin America and the Caribbean, the school is committed to fostering research and community service based on a broad sense of social responsibility.”
AANMC and its member institutions educate future naturopathic physicians who provide integrative, prevention-focused care across diverse clinical settings. The organization continues to work closely with partners to support student access to education, ensure program quality, and strengthen outcomes for graduates entering the healthcare workforce.

La Universidad Ana G. Méndez (UAGM) is a private, nonprofit institution of higher education founded in 1949, and it is part of the Sistema Universitario Ana G. Méndez (SUAGM), Inc.
UAGM is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and licensed by the Puerto Rico Board of Postsecondary Institutions (JIP).
