Is There a Medical School
Without MCAT Requirements?
Can You Get into Medical School Without the MCAT?
Generally speaking, in order to get into medical school you need to pass the MCAT exam, but that does not mean that you cannot still pursue a medical career without it.
Attending medical school to become a conventional medical doctor or osteopath requires the completion of the MCAT examination, and many people are passionate about medicine but do not want to spend the time and resources required to complete the MCAT and a conventional medical school program. These people do not have to turn away from their interest in medicine altogether–there are options for pursuing a healthcare career other than med school, no MCAT required.
Become a Naturopathic Doctor
If you are interested in pursuing a career in medicine without taking the MCAT, an education as a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) may be the right fit for you. As an ND, you will have a fulfilling career that positively impacts others’ lives, provides a high level of career satisfaction, and allows for flexibility and work/life balance.
