I hope this message finds you in good health; the last few weeks have been full of exciting meetings for AANMC! I attended the board of directors meeting at the National Centers for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) *formerly NCCAM, as a guest with the AANMC president and NCCIH member Dr. Jane Guiltinan. The National Association for Advisors of the Health Professions executive committee (NAAHP) met in late January with their Advisory Council (AC), of which I am a member, to discuss the direction of future NAAHP events for pre-health advisors. AANMC is planning on attending the regional NAAHP meetings this coming year – and is taking a leadership role for the AC in the events. Stay tuned for registration information for prospective student events.
As we tally up 2014, there have been a few notable successes as well! In the last year, AANMC events have performed better than they ever have, helping us more than double the amount of people who accessed our events this past year. We are excited to continue to offer webinars and virtual fairs for people interested in a career as a naturopathic doctor. If there are topics of interest, please let us know.
