December Director’s Update

After much work and research the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges (AANMC) and the Council of Chief Academic and Clinical Officers (CCACO) have completed the AANMC Professional Core Competencies of the Graduating Naturopathic Student. The purpose of the document is to describe the core competencies of a graduate from an accredited naturopathic doctoral program in order to align curriculum, define expectations of graduates and inform stakeholders regarding the education of physicians who practice naturopathic medicine. The expectation is that this document will serve to guide current and future programs of naturopathic medical education.

You can view the Core Competencies and download them here.

Additionally AANMC hosted our third virtual fair on November 12, 2014. We had a great turnout for the Naturopathic Virtual Fair and were able to help almost 200 prospective students take the next step on their path to becoming naturopathic doctors. If you missed the fair you can clickhere to request information from the accredited naturopathic schools. It’s never too late to pursue your dreams and passions!

Wishing you all a warm and heart-filling December. Dr. Jo
